Crypto executives from trading platform Coinbase Global, venture capital firm a16z, and other firms are hosting a fundraiser for one of the industry's staunchest supporters as regulators crack down and lawmakers make a renewed effort to pass rules for digital assets.
The fundraiser is slated to happen April 28 in Austin, Texas, for Wyoming Republican Cynthia Lummis, who as a member of the Senate Banking Committee has pushed for legislation favored by much of the industry.
